Originally from Montreal, Canada, Mathieu Leopold is a professional circus entertainer & choreographer with more than 18 years of performance and coaching experience. His work spans film & television, awards shows, international music festivals and private A-list events. Top highlights include performing with Taylor Swift at the 2019 Billboard awards and working as the Circus Department Head & Circus/Aerial Choreographer for 20th Century Fox’s The Greatest Showman. His piece for the movie’s musical hit “Rewrite The Stars” was nominated for an MTV Award for best musical moment. Mathieu has performed & choreographed for Radio City Music Hall, Dancing with the Stars, Cirque Du Soleil’s hospitality venue “LIGHT” for Exposure as well as corporate events. Most recently, Mathieu was selected as an original cast member and creation contributor for the launch of Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady production “Another Rose”. He is the creator of the Fire Trapeze and the founder of the company Circus Made – a modern circus lifestyle.
He has coached and mentored at multiple industry-leading schools in LA & NYC including Le Petit Cirque, Talent Lab Aerial & Dance, Body & Pole and Circus Warehouse, and has taught across the globe.

As a coach, I believe it is my responsibility to create a safe and accessible environment to help you reach your potential. I aim to deliver classes that develop more than just physical strength, but also encourage mental clarity and focus, spiritual lightness and joy. My goal is to help my students use their aerial practice to train a healthy mindset for all aspects of their life. Together, we create a supportive, inclusive and empowering experience!
