Karen is a Canadian-born dancer from Regina, Saskatchewan who fell in love with dance at a young age. Her early training established a technical foundation that led to a worldly dance career – from working in the Caribbean and Alaska on cruise ships to performing multiple contracts in Japan at Tokyo Disney theme parks.
In 2005, Karen landed the dream job of becoming a Radio City Rockette. Since then, she has been thrilled to perform across the United States and Canada in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Karen also performed in both the New York Spring Spectacular and the New York Spectacular, and has appeared at the Today Show, the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the Rockefeller Tree Lighting, the Tony Awards, the MTV VMA’s, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, America’s Got Talent, the NBA All-Star Game and the Life Ball in Vienna, Austria. Through these performances, Karen has had the opportunity to perform alongside Derek Hough, Pitbull, Flo-Rida and Christina Aguilera. Karen can also be seen in Hallmark’s “A Holiday Spectacular”, the Kasey Musgraves Christmas Show, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and a number of television commercials.
Karen is on staff with Acrobatic Arts as a Course Conductor and Examiner (certified in Acro Dance Pre-School, Modules 1 & 2, Aerial & Back Handsprings, Hoop Theory) and is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique. She has taught master classes and workshops at Radio City Music Hall and Broadway Dance Center, as well as in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and in Canada.
